CAR PARK
Competitors may use the golf club car park, an overflow facility is also available, however there is little on street parking. Any competitors who can car share are requested to do so. The Scottish Golf Union and Aberdour Golf Club cannot accept responsibility for any loss, theft or damage to cars.

CATERING
Coffee, tea and morning rolls will be available from 6.45am. Bar snacks & meals will be available all day until close of play. All catering is at the competitor's expense. Restaurant meals will be available prior booking is advised.

CLUBHOUSE
The clubhouse will be open at 6.30am on each championship day. Competitors, their families and guests are permitted the use of the clubhouse facilities.

In all clubhouse areas casual wear is acceptable for competitors, but must be smart. THE WEARING OF JEANS, SLEEVELESS OR COLLARLESS SHIRTS AND TRAINING SHOES IS NOT PERMITTED. Shorts are permitted if tailored. Hats must be removed before entering the Clubhouse.

Competitors shall not be allowed to purchase alcoholic drinks or play gaming machines.

MOBILE PHONES MUST BE SWITCHED OFF IN THE CLUBHOUSE AND ON THE COURSE.

Changing facilities are available in the gent’s locker rooms. There are no lockers available. There are showers available. Competitors planning to use showers are advised to bring their own towel.

COURSE AND PLAY
Competitors will play one round of stroke play on Thursday11 & Friday 12 August. In the event of a tie a sudden death play-off will decide the championship.

Competitors must report to the SGU Championship Mobile Office at least 30 minutes prior to their starting times that are shown in the official draw sheet.

Each competitor will be issued with a copy of the local rules, pin positions, pace of play guidelines and insurance certificate when registering.

COMPETITORS MUST REPORT TO THE OFFICIAL STARTER AT THE FIRST TEE 5 MINUTES BEFORE THEY ARE DUE TO PLAY. Competitors are reminded that late arrival at the first tee will result in disqualification as no provision has been made under Rule 6-3.

CADDIES ARE NOT PERMITTED AND COMPETITORS ARE REMINDED THAT THEY MUST NOT SEEK OR ACCEPT ADVICE FROM PARENTS, OTHER COMPETITORS OR ANY OTHER PERSON. NB. "Advice" is any counsel or suggestion which could influence a player in determining his play, the choice of a club or the method of making a stroke.

INSURANCE
Your entry fee includes cover in respect of competitor’s legal liability in the event of them causing injury to another person or damage to a third party property.

PRACTICE
The club has kindly granted courtesy of the course for one practice round, on Wednesday 10 August. Competitors must telephone the professional shop (Tel: 01383 860256) in advance to make a booking. Times are available on a first come first served basis.

Any competitors who are unable to practice on the official practice day may contact the club, who at their discretion may sanction a practice round at an alternative time.

Any competitor wishing to play more than one practice round must contact the club who will offer a discounted junior rate of £10.00 per player. Any adults wishing to play at the same time will qualify for the adult rate of £32.00 Mon- Thurs, £34.00 Friday’s and £40.00 at weekends.

Each competitor must report to the professional shop prior to starting his practice round. During the practice round only one ball shall be in play. Players found with more than one ball in play may have their practice round curtailed.

There is a small practice ground available by the 10th hole. This area is limited to short irons only and where applicable competitors must play from the mats. Competitors will be required to supply their own practice balls. There is a practice putting green / chipping area adjacent to the 1st tee for practice putting / chipping. In addition there are nets practice nets by the 1st hole.

Competitors using any of the above practice areas do so at their own risk.

TROLLEYS & YARDAGE BOOKS
Trolleys are available for hire and yardage books for purchase from the professional shop on a first come first served basis.

PRESENTATION
The Championship trophy and medals will be presented at the close of play on Friday 12 August. All prize winners are expected to be present.

RESPONSIBILITY
Aberdour Golf Club and the Scottish Golf Union cannot accept responsibility for players’ property during practice or on tournament days.

DIRECTIONS

Aberdour Golf Club is situated in the Kingdom of Fife in the small coastal town of Aberdour.

From the south, west and east, leave the A90 at junction 1, taking the 3rd exit off the roundabout, following signs for the A921 Inverkeithing and Dalgety Bay. Aberdour is located on the Burntisland Road approximately 15 miles from the turn off.

From the north, leave the M90 motorway at junction 1, taking the 2nd exit off the roundabout, follow the directions as above.

On entering Aberdour follow the AA signs to the golf course
